We were so happy to ride a chair lift 🛗 💺 the view from the castle top 🏯 was amazing.

Absolute must. If you take the china trail you can make it a nice circular walk and you'll see the massive cypress. It's actually a proper walk though, felt more than the signs were telling me. The temple at the North end was under going restoration at the time of writing, but the tree made it worth it. Full circular walk was about two to three hours

After the amazing shrine I thought the old castle ruins would be a bit boring but I was wrong. Amazing views and well preserved walls. We walked up - not difficult but there is a chair lift as well.

If you've seen castle ruins, you'll have a rough idea of what to expect, but the setting and scale really set this one apart. Large compound and nowhere on the premises has a bad view. I recommend paying for the chairlift unless you really want the exercise and have lots of time to spend.
