게오선은 도쿄 중앙에서 산 타카오로의 주요 접근을 제공하며, 신주쿠역에서 타카오-산 구치역으로의 자주 기차(피크 시간 중 4-6분마다)를 운행합니다. 지불은 Suica나 Pasmo와 같은 IC 카드를 사용하기 가장 쉬우며, 신주쿠에서 약 ¥390 편도입니다. 기지에 도착하면, 대부분의 방문객들은 자신들을 산책하며, 등산로는 30분부터 2시간까지 다양합니다. 케이블카와 의자 리프트는 가장 가파른 부분을 덮습니다. 산의 소형 크기와 탁월한 신호는 택시가 불필요한 것을 의미합니다. 마크된 경로를 따르면 되고, 극도로 가을 색이 있을 때 특히 극적입니다.

Fun hike right after recent snowfall in the Tokyo area! We did the 6th trail which was definitely more nature-like than the 1st trail. If you chose to do the 6th trail, prepare properly with hiking boots and a good pair of socks. It took us about 80 minutes to reach the peak. The view is alright, not amazingly scenic by any stretch but cool nonetheless. The hike was not too difficult, but it depends on your physical ability. The stairs at the very end were somewhat steep. We went on a Monday afternoon and there were not many people around. Easily accessible from Tokyo. Bring food and drinks with you. The base of the mountain has some stores but not major food concessions. This was a pleasant hike in the winter, but I would never do this in the heat of summertime and tourist crowds. Hike at your own risk.
Easily accessible from Tokyo, you can take the rapid train from Shinjuku. There are two options (chairlift and cable car) to go up til the middle of the mountain, but it’s also completely fine to just walk up. It’s a beginner friendly hiking course, and you can find many restaurants and shops throughout.
An accessible nature escape located just an hour from central Tokyo. There are eight official trails, ranging from the paved but initially inclined Trail 1 to the rugged Trail 6 (mixing paths is a great way to explore temples and small waterfalls). A cable car or chairlift can take you about halfway up, but it’s not essential, especially if you use Trail 1. When the weather is clear, you can enjoy panoramic views of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji.
Beautiful day with warm weather. We used trail #1 to walk all the way to the summit. The first 8 post of the 14post are pretty steep. Happy to have done it but if we go again will use the lift to go up. We were lucky to see Fuji san in its splendor. Parking only 800¥ for a day
Visited Mount Takeo during the autumn season and was absolutely blown away by the vibrant colours. The trails are easy to follow. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a lovely escape from the city. Love this place! Next time, I’ll make sure to allow more time so I can navigate all the trails properly and enjoy the area at a more relaxed pace.
