Turning on two-factor authentication

From Settings, turn on "Two-factor authentication" to require a one-time email code whenever you sign in. Turning it on sends a 6-digit code to your account email to confirm; turning it off doesn’t need a code. It’s available on any account, free or Adventure+, and isn’t tied to a password since there isn’t one, see "Signing in, and what to do if you’re locked out" for how sign-in itself works.
