福山は1622年に築かれた福山城があり、豊臣時代の終わりから徳川時代への移行期に築かれました。瀬戸内海の新鮮なシーフードと、バラ園で知られています。

Fukuyama Station is clean, convenient, and very easy to use. The platforms, ticket gates, and signs are clearly organized, and transfers to local trains and the Shinkansen are smooth. There are plenty of shops and restaurants inside the station, making it a pleasant stop during travel.
The station is not so big but it surrounding by shopping mall. The toilets at the station is not really clean, still use old style of toilet. Fukuyama is know as rose city. There are many rose tree outside of the station, It is so beautiful. The station is close to Fukuyama castle and museum.
Roses bloom by the station; castle walls watch from across the street. Fukuyama feels proud and unassuming — the beauty of a town that has survived and blossomed again. Tourist Tip: Visit Fukuyama Castle (visible from platform) and rose gardens. Easy transfers to Tomonoura’s seaside village.
Recently refurbished with several cafe and dining options. Got to be one of the stations that is closest to a castle in all of Japan (just outside the north entrance). The bus station in front is the place to head if going to Tomo-no-ura.
I got this delicious grilled tuna set lunch at a restaurant inside Sun Station Terrace which is a shopping area right next to the Shinkansen central exit at Fukuyama Station.
Day trips from Fukuyama
Close enough to visit for the day and be back in Fukuyama that night.
