How your trip cost estimate works

Flat-rate defaults, blended with real booking prices where you have them.

The cost estimate breaks a trip into six categories: flights, accommodation, daily local transport, rail, food, and entry fees. Each starts from a flat per-person rate based on the budget level you set (budget, mid-range, upscale), it’s a planning estimate, not a quote.

When a booking is confirmed

A confirmed booking’s real price replaces the estimate for that line, even partially, if three of four nights are confirmed, the estimate blends the real price for those with the flat rate for the rest.

You can also override any line by hand with the pencil icon in the panel, your number always wins over both the estimate and a booking’s price.
