How do you get to Enoshima from Tokyo?

The Odakyu Enoshima line runs from Shinjuku to Katase-Enoshima in about 70 minutes; the romance-car limited express is fastest. Many visitors arrive on the Enoden tram from Kamakura instead, making it an easy two-stop day.

Do you need to climb to reach the shrines?

There is a steady uphill walk through the shrine complex. Paid outdoor escalators (the Enoshima Escar) skip most of the climb if you prefer, but the descent on foot past the caves is part of the appeal.

What is Enoshima's signature food?

Shirasu (whitebait), served raw or boiled over rice, is the local speciality landed in Sagami Bay. The approach street is also lined with grilled-squid and senbei stalls.

Can you see Mount Fuji from Enoshima?

Yes, on clear days, especially in winter. The Sea Candle observation deck and the western cliffs give the best Fuji-over-the-bay views, often with sunset behind the mountain.
